About Us
- ABOUT THE TASK FORCE
The Annenberg Institute convened the School Communities that Work task force (SCtW) to examine the previously overlooked role of the urban school district in school reform. In 2002, SCtW produced a portfolio of tools and resources to help districts and their key stakeholders evolve toward a "smart district" in which all students are well served. SCtW's work ended in 2004 with a forum on building districts' capacity to support whole systems of effective schools. The Institute, mainly through its System Supports initiative, continues to advocate and build on SCtW's ideas and products across the nation.
